Alif, Lam, Mim, Sad, Ra, Kaf, Ha, Ya, Ayn, Ta, Sin, Ha, Qaf, Nun. So glorious is He Who made everything subtly reflect His wisdom. Moreover, the scholars said, "There is no doubt that Allah did not reveal these letters for jest and play." Some ignorant people said that;
In Arabic, the consonants are divided into two groups, called the lam Shamsiya (sun letters) or solar letters and lam qamariya (moon letters) or lunar letters, based on whether they assimilate the letter lām (ﻝl) of a preceding Arabic definite article al- (الـ), which is an important general rule used in Arabic grammar and tajweed.
Maa yawaddul lazeena kafaroo min ahlil kitaabi wa lal mushrikeena ai-yunazzala 'alaikum min khairim mir Rabbikum; wallaahu yakhtassu birahmatihee mai-yashaaa; wallaahu zul fadlil'azeem. Maa nansakh min aayatin aw nunsihaa na-ti bikhairim minhaaa aw mislihaaa; alam ta'lam annal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in qadeer.
